Animal/Object Setting Sort

The Animal/Object Sort activities focus on an image or setting which then leads to discussion with children. This assists with eliciting prior knowledge or understanding. There are objects and words that can be matched as part of an activity or game. The objects can be laminated (along with the scene) and added to the scene. Children can be extended by then writing about the scene they created. Focus can be on key word types such as prepositions or more generic sentences.
